Iceland in the UEFA Women's Champions League

Iceland

For the 2024-25 season, Iceland is entitled to two berths in the UWCL. The champion enters at C1, and the runner-up enters at L1.
For the 2025-26 season, Iceland will be entitled to two berths in the UWCL. The champion will enter in Round C2, and the runner-up enters at L2.
For the 2026-27 season, Iceland will be entitled to two berths in European play. The champion will enter the UWCL in Round C2, and the runner-up enters the Europa Cup in the first round.

League Format

Iceland's league is the Besta deild kvenna, which plays on a summer schedule. Ten teams play a double round-robin. The top six teams advance to the playoffs. Regular season points are carried over, and then teams play an additional round-robin, for a total of 28 games. The 2024 season has concluded, with Breidablik (1st, C2) and Valur (2nd, L2) qualifying for the 2025-26 UWCL.
