Through 2012-13, Cardiff City LFC played in the Wales Women's Cup, which was used to determine the Welsh entrant to the UWC/UWCL through the 2009-10 season. Renamed to Gwalia United in 2024.

League Format

Wales's league is the Adran Premier. Eight teams play a double round-robin. The top four teams advance to the playoffs. Regular season points are carried over, and then teams play an additional double round-robin, for a total of 20 games.
